Welcome to my blog! My name is Janneke, I’m 32 years old, and I like making things. As the name of this blog probably gives away, I like sewing a lot, but knitting and crochet are also favorite ways of making things for me. In my daily life I’m a scientist working in water technology, but my natural curiosity for all kinds of subjects (scientific and otherwise) is an important aspect of my daily life. This reflects in my crafting as I’m always looking for new things to discover, or new techniques to try. My other hobbies are reading fantasy books, LARP, 17th century reenactment, bouldering and running.
At this moment, my personal project is my wardrobe. My style is evolving from PhD life (long lab days, in jeans and t-shirt) to work life (I have to meet customers now!), but I set myself the goal to make this transition as sustainable as possible. In addition to that, I’m trying to find a style that’s comfortable for me and makes me happy.
